When it rains it is like a reminder from God that we need to become refreshed and that he truly does want to talk to us and that he most of all wants us to have spritual eyes open.
dear bloggers and readers of my blog,
Today was tiring since last night was the track meet in Wickliffe. None the less, I have felt inspired by my own thoughts but also by the words of others.I decided to put something I was inspired by for my daily thoght.
yesterday; The track meet went well thought the weather proved cold. Sleeping on the bus and as soon as I got home that night gave me the chance to finally say that I have gotton a 9 and 1/2 hour sleep last night.
today; It was raining as I treked out for the bus this morning, and though I had a good sleep to go on I was flooded with tiredness. =[ . We ran in the rain again for track, but it was my muscles and not the rain that screamed to stop. We only did a 25 minute run so it was an easy practice. =] .
tomorrow;I will be competing in the speech contest at Beachwood High. There are 40 other schools or so there, so if you get a chance mutter a short prayer for me. Even if I don't win I want to make an impact on people.
ps. down falls of today; No I am not perfect and I was hoping my entry[s] wouldn't come off that way. My room is a mess since my second home is the school. I yelled at my brother for no reason today just because I was being selfish. =[ . However, on the bright side of things, I want to change my bad habits, but I want to stay melissa. Happy belated 14th birthday to Hanna G.! Love you chicka.

Meli, dear! It is so hard to work on our "flesh" and know how to remain true to who God made us, isn't it? The test is this: is my being myself going against God's Word in any way? If it is, then it is not my uniqueness, but my flesh using my personality as a cover. For instance - the Lord made me to have a people personality (bet ya didn't know that, huh?) But, my talking can be out of line sometimes. I have to line my speech up with God's Word -too much honesty can be unkind (that is the ugliest hat I have ever seen!). Or not enough honesty (not speaking up when someone speaks against another).
It is a tricky thing! But!!! The Lord who made us who we are also gives us a way to escape the fleshly side of ourselves - Himself! I am so glad!
Keep your chin up and keep being you! The Spirit of God who lives in you will help you work it all out so you do not lose your very wonderful "Melissa-ness"!
Love - Mrs. G
