I want to be Beautiful. ;)

I am going through a new faze. I like to call it the Indie faze. If you have ever heard Indie music, that is what it is basically about. The genre is very raw to say the least and acoustic. Mostly the voice is used with little instrument back-up, and it is just plain different. As with all of my fazes, I tend to go to extremes. This faze involves adventure, excitement, and me dying my hair. If all the plans go accordingly I will be a brunette by tonight. My actual hair color is a lighter brown, but none the less, it will be dramatic from the blonde I have now.

One thing I have wanted to do for a long time is go on a mission trip. When I was 2, my dad went to India, and my sister came up with a song that her and I used to sing.
It went something like:

My daddy went to India, to tell the people about Jesus.

We would swing and basically screech out the lyrics over and over again.
At last year's Acquire the Fire, a couple of the members of the youth group and I went to a mini seminar about Global Expeditions which is a mission trip organization. Now, my sister and I are looking into different trips, and I am hoping to go to a trip in Denmark. We have begun fundraising, and God is providing. When first getting into this I didn't realize how unprepared I was. Not so much physically, but mentally. If I am going to evangelize, then I need to have an understanding of what living a life for God truly means. The cliche "Actions speak louder than words" is in my head right now. In contrast, both my actions, words, thoughts, and goals need to all align with God's attributes. That way I can be a role model; reflecting the light of Jesus.
Another really cool thing I have noticed is that several other teen members in the church have been inspired to also go on a trip. I think it is awesome that we can all come together and work with each other through encouragement, prayer, and fundraisers. Because of the desire in so many teens hearts, our youth group is planning a fundraiser. I am excited! I am most happy that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today I have been baking (for my mission trip fundraiser) from 8-5 and then cleaned up from 7-8, so it has been a tedious procedure, but I know that it is not in vain and I will simply be believing for the best.
