spread the cheer!

Yesterday contained the excitement of last minute shopping, and the delight of family get-togethers. I only see my cousins once a year; at Christmas time. Some moments are full of awkward silences, and other moments are spent with conversation to catch up on each other's lives. They only live 10 or 15 minutes from my house, so it is sad we don't get to spend more time together-but I think the way it is makes each moment more appreciated and valued. With my cousins came my grandpa and my uncle. Also, yesterday marked the first day that we actually turned on the Christmas music and had a nice listen.

My family and I just finished watching The Nativity Story. Other than that, today consisted of wrapping presents. I have stayed in my pj's all day and had some cookies. Not too productive except for the load of laundry I put in. I still need to get in a Christmas-y mood. I had my mum buy a kit for a gingerbread house. Little by little I am getting there. But, I must not forget the real reason for the season. Watching that movie was certainly a reminder.

Have a good Christmas Eve!
