dear bloggers and readers of my blog,
I was cleared for running. Was is the key word. While doing the work out for cross country, the good old shin began to hurt again! I have been building up slowly, but I suppose not slowly enough. I ended up running one mile in total today before having to stop. But, my shin has been iced, and quite frankly feels much better! :)

Today has consisted of cross country practice in the morning and band in the afternoon. Since Monday I entered a new faze of busyness. This is called 'band week.' Some schools go away and camp out for a week to practice. Ours' doesn't, and instead meet all week for practices and on Thursday to Friday we "sleepover" at the school. Daily practices consist of rehearsals and run through from 10-5:30 with lunch, breaks, competitions according to grades, and games. I must say, it is fun for the most part, though it can get tiring since I go straight from cross country to band. Our band director has been nice, and since we are 'ahead' of the game per say, he has let us get out early every day.

Tomorrow will be our first performance (for band.) It is an even t called "meet the teams" in where all of the sports teams get there pictures, are announced, and the band ends the night by playing through the same show we would a football game. I enjoy all of this. The night for band members end with the lock in /sleepover which I am not doing this year. Last year I didn't get very much sleep, and I don't think it would be wise to have to wake up and go to cross country with no sleep or energy left. =}

Tomorrow is a big day, and I can't wait!

Much love to all. mellow, for once. Miss organic lady.

Sorry to hear your shin was hurting again. I'm glad the ice helped though. A mile seems pretty good considering your injury. Hang in there!

Band week sounds like A LOT OF FUN!!

Hey, I can't run a mile with both shins intact, so you're a hero in my book.
It sounds like you're really busy. :) Keep having fun and don't let things get over your head.
