Greeting from the state of New York! After a 7 hour drive we have arrived at our first destination safely, and without many problems. The car drive went smoothly for the most part, and to my mother's satisfaction we didn't fight (which is quite the accomplishment, since 30 minutes can be a tiresome quarrel in a moving vehicle.) We are staying at a nice little hotel that in the words of my mum-'feels like home.' Tomorrow we will be heading to Massachusetts bright and early for the bat mitzvah, and staying for a visit or two the the surrounding area.
